Mavrodin - Teleorman
The Central Landfill in Mavrodin was inaugurated in the first half of 2013, as a result of signing the delegation agreement for the services transfer on the Management of the Central Landfill in Mavrodin by the company Eco Sud S.A. The Central Landfill in Mavrodin is a part of the project "Integrated system for waste management in the Teleorman county", with a total value of € 21.5 million. Located in the centre of Teleorman County, about 20 km from Alexandria town, the Central Landfill in Mavrodin provides all facilities and utilities of such an investment, including the sorting system, the composting system and the wastewater treatment system.
As exclusive beneficiary of the landfill, the company Eco Sud S.A. will introduce the best practices in this field, ensuring full coverage of the business of waste collecting and disposing in the county, providing services of domestic waste storage, processing and disposal, but also services of composting and recycling.
The Central Landfill in Mavrodin benefits from a high end digital system that enables real-time data recording, a video monitoring system of the key points in the landfill and continuous security and protection services.
Depozitul central de la Mavrodin are o suprafata totala de 28 de hectare din care:
• the storage area, consisting of 4 cells used for waste disposal, has an approximate surface of 19.6 ha;
• the services area, including the sorting plant and the composting plant, networks, transportation ways and car platform, which is extended on 8.4 ha.
The sorting station is located inside a covered area with a surface of about 1.550 square meters and it includes a reception area, conveyors, magnetic separator, an area of manual sorting of source selected waste, conveyor for the waste sorted manually and a baler. The sorting plant has a capacity of 7,500 tn / year of recyclable waste.
The composting plant, made of the area intended for mechanical shredding of waste, the intensive composting area and the area of post-composting or maturing, is designed to process 5,000 tn / year of biodegradable green waste, collected from rural and urban areas.
